Furniture finishes and Styles ExplainedWoodAlthough there are exceptions (and where otherwise specified) the majority of furniture displayed on this site is available in either mahogany or yew. All pieces are made using high quality veneer usually with inlaid black or white boxwood lines and cherry crossbanding, to give contrast and style to the furniture (Click here for an example). The mahogany and yew are coloured to three different shades according to requirements, although as we polish all our own furniture we can colour match new items to your existing furniture, just provide us with a match (drawer, chair etc). Click on the above wood samples for samples page GlassThere are a variety of options when choosing glass for your china cabinet/corner cabinet/bookcase etc. Firstly there is barred and brilliant cut glass. The barring is made of wood and uses individually cut pieces of glass which are glued an puttied in keeping with traditional methods. There are two style options for barred doors and 12 styles of cut glass on offer. Plain glass is also an option if preferred.
